Organization for your new Home-Based Internet Marketing Business is one key to success.  You can learn it the hard way or start from the beginning and do it RIGHT.

Do you ever get tired of clutter all over your home office?
  • Is your To Do list a mile long?
  • Do you struggle with procrastination?
  • Would you like to better prioritize?
  • Would you like more time in your day, to do the things you love to do?
  • Would you like to get organized, once and for all?

If so, I highly recommend the book, 'Finally Organized, Finally Free.' I can honestly say, it's one of the best organizing books on the market.  For more information, visit: Get Organized Now!

So now that you have defined your goals, are motivated, and have read some web basics you are ready to begin.  There are many steps involved and I have found getting organized is a key.

The first thing to do is purchase paper supplies:
(1.) Notebook, a stack of loose leaf paper, notecards w/holder and  a 3-ring binder.
Success Articles
Another item that you need is a:
(2.) Computer,  even though these days everyone seems to have a one.  If you don't have a computer or you need to upgrade to a more sophisticated one, check out 'computers for all', as they make buying computers available to anyone.

They are a necessity if you are going to have a Home-Based Internet Business.

Third :
(3.) Set up a  Filing System  in your computers documents file.  Your filing system can be anything you want it to be and is very important for organization but I have found that nothing beats the notebook, pen and paper for recording plans, objectives and ideas.  Set up your filing system in your computer but organize your notebook to 'organize yourself'.

Open your 'My Documents' file and then open a 'new folder' and label it with your business name.. In that folder you can organize files in such a way, that every thing is at your fingertips.

The important thing is to start from the beginning and organize as you go, whatever system you choose but USE it and you find yourself clicking all over your computer documents and files looking for that 'one thing' that you need and know you saved.

(4.)  Business License: Typically, having a Home-Based Internet Business that you run from your home with your computer, with no outside traffic coming to your place of business, you don't need an okay from the city.  But you will need a business license.  Some cities also require a one time license to operate out of your home.

(5.) Separate Bank Account:   Keeping a separate bank account for your business is just good business sense.  What you purchase for your business and what you receive as income from business sales is all together in one set of books..  with just your business items and much simpler  to the IRS when tax time comes and you file your taxes.

Many banks now days open accounts for free and you can decide to not purchase checks and just use the debit card and the account won't cost you any extra money.

(6.) Paying Taxes and Keeping Records.   I look at taxes as a good thing because if you are paying taxes then that means you are making some money, which is the whole point.  Get your business license and keep excellent records of your expenses.  You can buy a good book or go to the irs.com site and see what is allowable and have a separate folder in your 'paper' file cabinet for all your receipts.

If you keep a records journal up to date you won't be panicked at the end of the year to get it all together, recorded, and tallied for the IRS by April 15!

(7.) Credit Card: Having a Credit Card  that is just for your business is important, I think, so that you can purchase the things you need for your business and keep it all separate from your personal accounts.  Some of the programs that you will purchase are one time payments and some are monthly and setting up an automatic withdrawal is convenient and also a good way to keep records, but sometimes that is the only way a company will handle your business.

I am not talking about running up a big charge card bill and being irresponsible in your purchases.  Always, only purchase what you can afford to; what you have set up in your budget to handle.  Before you start making money on line, your personal finances will determine what you can afford to spend.

When you have something to sell, you need a secure way for your potential customers to purchase from you.

(8.) Paypal and StormPay are very reputable companies that handle that for you.  Also, if you don't have a credit card, your paypal account can be used to pay for things that you purchase, not just for collecting money from customers.

The BEST ones are PayPal  or Storm Pay  (StormPay is one of the hottest income opportunities on the Internet!) These are by far the two most commonly used and most widely recognized.

PayPal  even boasts (and quite correctly!) that they are the “easiest way to send money online!”  You can simply get a FREE PayPal account by  clicking here  and then once verified, you can select “Merchant Services” at the TOP MENU.

When it opens to that page, you can then select “Key Features” section and the link “Buy Now Buttons” and get the code in just a few seconds that you can then add to your 1StepSystem Back Office so that you can have the PayPal payment option easily installed and people can start sending you $500 cash by PayPal all day long!
